National Public Service Week

NPSW 2023.

Thank you for your service to Canada, from one generation to another.

National Public Service Week (NPSW) was created in 1992, following the passage of the National Public Service Week: Serving Canadians Better Act, to recognize the importance of federal public service employees and to honour their service to Canadians. In accordance with the Act, the third week of the month of June is known as National Public Service Week in Canada.

This year’s NPSW campaign has added significance for the Federal Retirees community because our association is turning 60!

NPSW 2023 will take place from June 11 to 17.

Over the years, NPSW has grown into a truly national campaign and is the ideal time to inform Canadians about the important work public servants have done and continue to do. We encourage you to take this opportunity to show your pride in the Canadian public service and share that pride with your communities.

Share stories and thank heroes

Chances are that you know outstanding public servants who have gone above and beyond for Canada and for Canadians. Why not take this opportunity to thank them and to shine a light on local public servants and celebrate their contributions?

Your stories bring life to our advocacy work and drive our campaigns. If you have a story to share, or you know a Federal Retirees member who does, send a message to communications@federalretirees.ca so we can follow up. We love to share member and volunteer stories through our communications channels, including Sage magazine, the website and on social media too!

Take action for Canadians

Public servants dedicate their lives to building a better Canada and deserve a retirement to look forward to, one where their health, dignity and well-being are cared for. If you’re passionate about extending the reach of Federal Retirees’ advocacy campaigns, consider becoming part of the Reach 338 network. This team is working to achieve an ambitious goal: to make sure Federal Retirees’ advocacy message is heard across all 338 federal ridings. You can help make it happen!

Taking part in Reach 338 is easy and flexible. You choose how and when to get involved. There’s no right way to make a difference!
