Looking for a new management team
Dear Members,
As another annual general meeting (AGM) is on the horizon, I wanted to send a personal message to you, especially you the newly retired members, with a call to join our management team.
Last year, I celebrated my twentieth birthday — well, for the fourth time — and it has been my pleasure to serve with the Central Okanagan Branch for over 20 years. Several of the current management team tell a similar tale. We, therefore feel it is time for the next generation to assume the roles needed to manage the branch.
The Central Okanagan Branch has served its members for over 50 years, and I can assure you that it's "as good as any and better than many" at making a difference for its members and the community in which we live.
We need others to join branch board member Daniela Evans in helping to manage and shape the future of the branch. I am asking you to give some serious thought to joining her in keeping the legacy of the Central Okanagan Branch alive. The current board will still be there to help, assist and mentor the new generation.
There are four vacant positions up for election at the upcoming AGM, and any nomination must be made before the meeting. For more information, you can call me at the number below or, better still, call Daniela at (778) 875‑3868 and she can answer any and all your questions.
You can make a difference!
Sincerely,
Guy Bird
