Attention all Federal Retirees Edmonton Branch members
There is an opportunity for you to participate in the success of the Edmonton Branch as a volunteer phoner. In general, phoners help the branch keep in touch with members who do not have internet or email availability, adding to our overall attendance and participation.
Duties of the volunteers would be to phone a list of members without computers to advise them of upcoming meetings and events. Volunteer phoners will be provided with a list of names and phone numbers prior to a planned event, whom they would contact and invite.
If you would like to become a volunteer phoner, or if you have any questions, please contact Heather Anne Elliot-Martin at (780) 908-8518 or email Heather at coronadohaem@outlook.com. Or contact the branch by email at edmonton@federalretirees.ca. Or you can phone 1-855-376-2336 and leave a message.
Being a volunteer phoner is a great way to get involved with the organization, or to get acquainted or reacquainted with the members and former colleagues.
We continue to seek out members interested in becoming board or committee members. This is an opportunity to become involved in our social activity planning, or our advocacy team, to mention just two opportunities.
