Our annual Christmas Dinner at the RCAF Association in Truro was on Dec. 11. There were 81 attendees: 48 associated with Federal Retirees, 31 with RCMP, and two musicians. Noel Lannon (vice president) and Cheryl Young (treasurer) did a great job co-hosting the event. Brenda Teed (Federal Retirees Atlantic district director) and Peter Kerr (Federal Retirees Nova Scotia branch services director) discussed our organization's current issues. Allan Wellwood (RCMP Vets director/Federal Retirees member) recognized those members who passed away during the last twelve months. We observed a moment of silence for them. Allan also gave the blessing before the meal. Tim Bowers and Bruce White provided musical entertainment during and after the meal, which was prepared for us by the RCAF Association staff. We send all of them a special thank you.
