Greetings from the board.
Your board of directors has kept very busy since the April AGM held via Zoom.
The election brought us Paul Clarke, who has taken on the role of recording secretary and Lynn Borthwick, a member of this board for almost 20 years, as president. All of the board members agreed to continue in their roles while we work to get back into action, following the COVID-19 shutdowns.
Executive members attended an Ontario District meeting in late April plus the national annual meeting of members in June. The branch participated in an all members meeting of candidates in Kitchener prior to the June provincial election. Thanks to Andy Zajchowski for his involvement on our behalf.
Board meetings have resumed in person in different locations due to the closure of the Manitou office and loss of meeting space. While the physical office doesn’t exist anymore, both the telephone and the email inbox are monitored on a regular basis. Your call/mail will be directed to the board member most responsible for your concern.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at our Nov. 22, 2022 lunch. We are celebrating the 40th anniversary of this branch, getting together in person for the first time since Dec. 2019, and signing up new members in the new recruitment campaign.
Information about Nov. 22 is in the latest branch report, included in the most recent Sage magazine. See also, the Events box on this website.
We are all looking forward with reconnecting with you in November.
Lynn Borthwick
President, on behalf of your board
