Who can become a member?

Membership is open to anyone paying into or receiving a pension from Canada's Public Service, the RCMP or the Canadian Armed Forces, federally appointed judges and to honourably discharged non-pensioned veterans. Their spouses and survivors are also eligible to join Federal Retirees.

What does membership cost?

Membership costs just $55.92 per year for an individual and $72.60 per year for a couple. This amount helps support Federal Retirees’ work for better pensions for all Canadians and provides full access to all benefits.

The double membership option doubles your impact and provides membership to a spouse or partner! Both become eligible for all member benefits, including our exceptional rates on MEDOC travel insurance, access to our knowledgeable research staff, four high-quality issues of Sage magazine each year and informative reports and updates from our advocacy team.

If you’d like to turn your single membership into a double membership for only $1.39 more per month, give us a call at 1-855-304-4700 (toll-free).

How do I sign up?

Joining Federal Retirees is easy:

Pay by Credit Card. Get instant access to all member benefits.

Pay by monthly pension withdrawal. This is the most popular choice! The Dues Deduction at Source (DDS) payment option is the simplest and most convenient way to pay for your membership with Federal Retirees and to automatically renew it annually. Thanks to our relationship with the Treasury Board and the Pension Centre, the DDS option allows your membership fees to be deducted directly from your pension on a monthly basis. This translates to $4.66 per month for a single membership, or $6.05 per month for a double.

Pay by Cheque. If you prefer, simply download our application form, and return it by mail with your cheque.
