Welcome to the Eastern Manitoba Branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees. I am so pleased to be a part of this Board and look forward to what we can do within the Association going forward.
Our Branch includes approximately 560 members who are current or retired Federal retirees, Veterans and RCMP from the Eastern Manitoba region. Incorporated in 1993, our Branch was set up by a committee of AECL employees advocating for improvements in pension, healthcare and death benefits.
The National Association of Federal Retirees has a proud history of strong, smart advocacy campaigns on behalf of our more than 170,000 members and all retirees and works to protect our members’ earned pensions and benefits, and to support good policy that improves the lives of all Canadians in retirement. Through your membership, you support this ongoing important work on behalf of members and all seniors in Canada.
As a member of the Eastern Manitoba Branch, we encourage you to come out to our semi-annual General Meetings which provides you the opportunity to connect with old friends and colleagues during the free buffet lunch, followed by an informative speaker and updates on Branch and Association activities.
Our website has been recently updated and we hope you will find the information, sources, links and list of Preferred Partners through the Association’s webpage valuable. Please share it with other potential members including current or retired federal employees, Veterans and RCMP.
We are continually looking for volunteers to serve on our board or support short-term projects. If you have a skill that you are willing to share with us, please let us know!. We look forward to meeting you at our future events.
Sincerely,
Alanna Wilcox
President
