Federal Retirees’ B.C. advocacy team joined forces with the B.C. Council of Senior Citizens Organizations (COSCO) to host a special 75-minute election townhall.
On Sept. 13, the National Association of Federal Retirees’ B.C. advocacy team, in partnership with the BC Council of Senior Citizens Organizations (COSCO), hosted a live webinar townhall for the federal election.
This special 75-minute election discussion featured candidates Rachel Blaney from the New Democratic Party, Ken Hardie from the Liberal party, and Mike Simpson from the Green party. The Conservative party did not send a candidate.
Discussion focused on a variety of topics that directly impact older adults including health care, long-term and home care options, and cost of living affordability.
Special thanks go to Federal Retirees B.C. advocacy program officer Leslie Gaudette and Fraser Valley West branch president Ian Spence for making this event possible.
